Do you Believe in Big Foot? Nessie? Chupacabra? Yeti?
Since I was a kid, I've been fascinated by cryptozoology. I think I've seen every documentary there is on Big Foot and have studied the famous video of the Sasquatch walking. Do I believe in Big Foot? I do! And yeah, I've heard all the debate against the existence of the hairy creatures. We'd have found a dead one by now, or bones or we'd have captured more on video or in the wild. Or we'd have found their poop. Heard it all. I don't care. I still believe in them. I think they are a highly evolved ape and that's it. An elusive, private creature. Just an undiscovered ape that doesn't drag his knuckles.
I also believe in the Loch Ness Monster.
And the Chupacabra.
Seriously! I think the Loch Ness Monster is a prehistoric water dinosaur. Heck, the alligator is pretty dang prehistoric!
And the Chupacabra? I think it's some kind of hairless wolf.
So, do you believe in any of these creatures? Have you seen any of them? I'd love to hear!
I'm so in love with the Bigfoot Legend that I included it in my latest release, Canyon Wolf Bride. Find out how cryptozoologists discover a species of wolves thought to be extinct at the bottom of The Grand Canyon.

And the Yeti, Big Foot's Snowy cousin have a very important role in the ending to Circle City: Lord of the Wolfen!

Since my family owns a plot of land on the Loch Ness I'm a total Nessie fan! (by "family" I mean the part of our clan that still lives in Scotland - my parents don't own it ;P).
ReplyDeleteThere are still tons of things we are discovering every day - why say that just because we haven't found solid proof something can't exist? We haven't proved it doesn't, after all :)
(came over here through Triberr, btw! Nice to meet you :D)
Yes, I believe in all of the above. Can't help myself. There are too many things we don't understand and too many sightings. I don't believe in Mothman, though. I mean, I'm not gullible. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm a total crypto-nerd, with just enough skeptic in me to discount the yahoos who hear a branch break in the woods and automatically scream "Bigfoot!"
ReplyDeletePersonally I think there's enough evidence to support searching for some of these creatures.
And just for the record, whenever I drive down a dark forest road at night, I keep an eye on the side of the road: partly for any deer running into the road, but always hoping I might get lucky and have a sighting.
Great post! I love all this stuff. Have you ever watched Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files on Syfy? They cover all of the creatures listed here. :-)))
ReplyDeleteHi, Rebecca! So wonderful for you to stop by via Triberr! I totally agree with you about Nessie and no proof doesn't mean something doesn't exist! So nice to meet you and please come back!
ReplyDeleteHi, Caroline! I'm in total agreement. I don't believe in Mothman..lol! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Rick! I hope to see a Sasquatch too! Right now I'm reading Rusty Wilson's Bigfoot Campfire stories...true stories he's heard around the campfire while guide fly fishing expeditions. And very hair raising! Check them out at Amazon and B&N! He's a wonderful storyteller!
ReplyDeleteHey, Sky! No, I haven't watched that show but now I want to! I love shows like that! Tonight I watched a Bigfoot Documentary with some amazing evidence. An actual hand was found and a youngling Bigfoot leg. The DNA was analyzed and the results were that it was no animal on record nor was it human. Wow! Saw that on Netflix! Go watch it! Amazing footage on there of actual photos this one farmer took in broad daylight! And video footage of the leg that was found. Eerie!
